According to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's production of new energy vehicles reached 76000 in the first six months of this year, an increase of 2.5 times over the same period last year. However, while the output of new energy vehicles is growing rapidly, there is a gap in the output of supporting power batteries. Now the power battery basically as long as it can be made, the problem of selling out is not big. In fact, according to experts, the technical threshold for the production of new energy vehicle batteries is not high, which directly leads to the rapid expansion of power battery production capacity. However, the production of large quantities of low-tech battery companies may shift domestic battery capacity from shortage to surplus. Industry insiders expect that with the rapid realization of production capacity, the battery industry may usher in a reshuffle in the second half of 2016.

It is understood that LG, Samsung, Lishen and CATL alone will have a production capacity of more than 10 gigawatt hours to be put into production next year, and the battery capacity per gigawatt hour can meet the needs of about 40000 new energy vehicles, that is to say, the production capacity of the above four power battery enterprises alone can meet the assembly needs of 400000 new energy vehicles.

According to the data of the Federation, CATL, a battery company, mainly supplies new energy car companies such as BAIC, GAC, Chang 'an and Yutong. Tianjin Lishen mainly supplies Jianghuai, Kangdi, GAC and Yutong. Guoxuan Gaoke supplies car companies such as Kangdi, Jianghuai, Jinlong, Ankai and Shenwo. Wanxiang Yineng supplies SAIC, Chery, GAC, Youth and other car companies.

At present, the battery pack used in hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles and other new energy vehicles has a life of up to ten years, but when these new energy vehicles are close to scrapping, the loss of the battery pack is only about 30%, which still has a high utilization value. However, these already used battery packs have not been well utilized.
